Ejector Jet-pump Technology and Applications

Emplacement futur Musée LLN
Louvain-la-neuve, 7-9 September 2009 : first announcement and call for papers
The EUROTHERM seminar Nr. 85 will present the state of the art and modern trends in ejector/jet-pump technology and their applications in cycles or standalone device in engineering solutions . It will focus both on the design, operation and fluid-flow related the ejector or the jetpump itself, and also on complete cycles analysis. The main topics of the seminar will be:
  • Single phase and two-phase ejectors or jet-pumps
  • Ejector modeling: 1D models, CFD models, multiphase models (condensation, droplet transport)
  • Ejector design
  • Local measurement inside ejectors: intrusive, non-intrusive
  • modeling and measurement of thermodynamics cycles involving an ejector/jet-pump
  • Refrigeration: single-stage, multi-stage systems, hybrid systems (compression, motive HVAC)
  • Use of ejectors with environment friendly or new refrigerants (synthetic, hydrocarbures, CO2, etc…)
  • Low grade energy recovery
  • Vacuum and prehension applications
  • Pumping and particles transport
  • Experimental pilot system feedback
