Students, shaping the cultural landscape

Amongst dozens of initiatives, it’s worth highlighting l’Osel (Orchestre symphonique des étudiants de l’UCL), founded in 1981, TUL (Théâtre Universitaire de Louvain/Louvain University Theatre), which puts on shows written by students at the Universatil festival, and the Chorale Universitaire de Louvain (Louvain University Choir).

The ‘kot’ projects are still up and running: the Kot-é-rythmes organises the ‘fête de la musique’ (music festival), the Kapodastre runs guitar Wednesdays, evenings during which all are free to demonstrate their musical talents, le Lever du Rideau hosts professional theatre troupes during the Mozaïk festival, the Kot Mont Parnasse organises literary activities…the list goes on and on.
