StaffThe Centre is now placed under the responsibility of Prof. Dr. Paul Nihoul. Paul is a Professor of law at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL, Belgium) where he teaches several courses around consumer law, competition law, European law and international law. See the section devoted to Education. He studied law at UCL as well as at Harvard Law School (LLM '89). After studying, he served in the following functions: attorney and counsellor at law admitted to the New York Bar (Cleary Gottlieb Steen Hamilton, USA); Counselor to the Belgian Minister of Finance, Mr. Ph. Maystadt, now the President of the European Investment Bank (EIB, Luxembourg); Clerk at the Court of justice of the European Communities, successively for Justices Joliet and Murray; Lecturer then Professor of Law at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. The Netherlands, where he was award the Jean Monnet Chair of Law on the European Information Society.
Other members The Centre further gathers academic and scentific personnel engaged in the Law School, in research concerning consumers. It thus provides a forum where active members of the Faculty are united in their effort to provide a think tank about the future development of consumer law and other related areas of the law.
