Project

Ecological dynamics through time are poorly known, and therefore they are hardly a theme for conservation field managers.

We will try to reproduce time series in space, studying different spots representing successive states of the same ecological series. We will tend to state practical recommendation to support field managers (at landscape scale), and try to state hypothesis on ecological dynamics through relatively deep time (20 to 100 years or more), and the way some patterns in these dynamics can enhance the understanding of effects of biological conservation planning.

We will include questions from the field managers in the input of the study design, with the purpose of producing useful results for them, with methods and concepts from fundamental ecology.
