1. normal student
A. The course forms an integral part of your program of studies, either in the core curriculum or in the options available in the program of your year (with the accord of the program director).

Enrolment procedure :
Enrolment for the language course and the exams via your faculty.
Nothing needs to be done at the ILV or at the UCL Office of the Registrar

B. If you wish to take a language course outside your program of studies:
The ILV allows you to take a course (maximum three/year) of German – Arabic – Chinese – French (as a foreign language) – Greek – Italian – Japanese – Portuguese Russian – Slovenian – Turkish. No admission is possible to English – Dutch – Spanish.
2. outgoing exchange student
You are a UCL student and you have been selected for an exchange (ERASMUS, SOCRATES).
A. If you wish to take a language course related to your exchange :
The language course chosen will be the language of instruction in the country of destination – a course of the type XXXX3000.
Priority will be given to Erasmus exchange students.
Enrolment procedures :
Ask your faculty to complete the “" (downloadable - French version).
Give this document to the ILV secretary with the code of the course you have chosen.

B. If you wish to take a
non-exchange language course :
The ILV allows you to take a course (maximum three/year) of German – Arabic – Chinese – French (as a foreign language) – Greek – Italian – Japanese – Portuguese Russian – Slovenian – Turkish. You will be considered as a “free student”
No admission is possible to English – Dutch – Spanish.
C. If you have not yet been selected for an exchange (ERASMUS, SOCRATES)
and if you wish to take a language course related to your studies,
then you should enrol provisionally as a “free student”
After selection, you should go the UCL Office of the Registrar with the authorisation of your faculty to have the secondary payment reimbursed.
