Research domains
My general scientific interest is the role of Consciousness in attitude and memory.
My researches are divided in two different fields. My first research interest concern the role of Consciousness in attitude formation through the Mere Exposure effect and the Evaluative Conditioning. The second main field of my PhD is the investigation of Consciousness in Implicit Attitude.

Consciousness in attitude formation
Mere exposure effect and evaluative conditioning are generally seen as unconscious phenomena. However, recent researches (Pleyers, Corneille, & Luminet, 2007 and Whittlesea & Price, 2001) have shown that under more controlled conditions participant could be aware of the manipulation. Our first goal is thus to better explain the role of consciousness in these phenomena. On the other side, we will also focus on the impact of emotions and individual differences on the mere exposure effect and the evaluative conditioning.

Consciousness in implicit attitude
Several studies have shown that attitude can be predicted even when people are unaware of their attitude. We want to investigate further this effect. Are people really unaware of their behavior origin? As in the mere exposure or in the evaluative conditioning we believe that the unconscious nature of this phenomenon could maybe be the result of methodological issues.
