Final Project
The final project may be defined as a contribution to solving a guenuine problem that currently exists or that might arise in the relatively near future in one or more organizations (private compagnies, public organizations, non-profit-making organizations, etc.).
This may be a problem that is not being dealt with in the organization due to lack of time or expertise, or a forward study anticipating the possible impact of certain structural or environmental changes within an organization.
In more specific terms, there are four conditions that a final project must fulfil :
-
the project must not only analyze the problem, but also devise a solution, if only partial, and, where applicable, should include the implementation of this solution within the organization ;
-
the project must include original processing of genuine data as supplied by the organization or collected by the student ;
-
the project must represent a sufficiently sophisticated application of the specific teaching and methods that relate to the selected subject ;
-
theoretical principles and methodological choices must be presented and discussed. Under no circumstances may the final project be merely a report of the internship, no matter how detailed, but should represent both a thesis (scientific work) and a project (practical work).
