UCL Obtains ECTS Label

Etudiants internationaux à l'UCL
UCL is one of 22 European universities to have obtained the label issued by the European Commission to institutions that manage their student mobility efficiently.
The ECTS label chiefly rests on two quality criteria: the management of exchange students and the presentation of the information destined to students participating in a mobility scheme (study programme, procedures for welcome and support, etc.) For each of the criteria, the standards fixed by the European Commission are extremely demanding.

The selection takes place in two stages: the first selection, on basis of files submitted by the universities, is carried out by the national agencies; the second screening is performed by the Erasmus Agency of the European Commission. Only four Belgian universities have managed to pass both stages this year: UCL, ULg, K.U.Leuven and the University of Ghent. UCL has obtained the label for the second time.

The label rewards the work of the faculties, as well as various central services, in particular the International Relations Department, the Curriculum Development Unit and the unit in charge of the UCL portal.
