IRES has about 5 experienced researchers and 35 young researchers.
|
Most young students are involved in the doctoral programs (they must attend doctoral courses) and are funded to present their works in conferences and workshops. The number of PhD defenses per year varies between 5 and 10.
Each year, the University of Louvain organizes 4 doctoral courses and 1-2 short courses (given by invited professors) within the Graduate School of Economics. These courses can be followed by PhD students of the French-speaking community of Belgian, of the University of Ghent, the Katholiek Universiteit van Leuven and some foreign universities (Maastricht, Luxembourg).
