Teaching under the Chair Jacquemin

The institution of the Chair Jacquemin contributed to deepen and widen the offer of European and International Economics courses.

Courses on International trade and European Economics are given at all levels of university studies (Bachelor, Master, research Master and Ph.D level)

  1. At the undergraduate level, a course on
    • European Economic Integration (Baldwin and Wyplosz, ed 3, 2009) has been created. This course is complemented by a workshop in which students are taught how to approach a topic and write a paper on a subject of their choice which they later have to present in class;
  2. At the master level, two courses have been created:
    • Advanced International Trade (Feenstra, 2005) in the Research Master in Economics;
    • Trade and Tax Policy (course notes) in the Master for European Business.
  3. At the Ph.D, level the Chair offers an
    • International Trade module for students in the Doctoral School. The module's objective is to update students on the frontier research in International Trade, focusing on both theoretical modeling and econometric techniques in the field of trade and trade policy.
