RESEARCH OVERVIEW

Our research focuses on membrane transporters and protein transport through the secretory and endocytic pathways in eukaryotic cells. Our model system is the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

We are currently working on three topics all related to membrane proteins:

1)       Mechanisms of protein transport within the cell through the secretory and endocytic pathways.

2)       Molecular function of uncharacterized membrane transporters some of them related to human diseases.

3)       Development of quantitative mass spectrometry techniques adapted to membrane proteins.
