Marcel Laubacher is the Vice-President and Head of Procurement and Supply Chain Management for GSK Vaccines. Prior to joining GSK, Mr. Laubacher spent over two decades working in the R&D and Purchasing Departments of Mars Incorporated.

In his current role at GSK Vaccines, Mr. Laubacher has overseen the transformation of the procurement function from local transactional to global and strategic and the step change in value creation. He also manages a team that regularly delivers best in class results.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Laubacher has achieved a strong track record of change management and value creation in multidivisional international organizations. He has defined and implemented European and global purchasing strategies both in direct and indirect categories, built value through strategic supply chain management and operational excellence programs, and developed world class procurement functions in large and complex multinational settings. His programs, based on strategic sourcing and strong supplier relationship management have resulted in significant savings, reduced inventories and operating costs, and improved quality, service and productivity.
