On April 26 the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Ghent univ. awards the Sarton Medal to Michel De Vroey

Since  1986 Ghent University awards Sarton Medals to outstanding historians of science in various scientific disciplines.
Professor Michel De Vroey teaches "history of economic thougt" at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL). He is internationally renowned for his research into the history of macroeconomics, in particular the macroeconomics of Keynes and Lucas. He published numerous articles and books on Keynesian and new classical macroeconomics. He was a visiting professor at many European and North American universities.
