How to submit a CORE Discussion Paper

CORE publishes a Discussion Paper series to which you are invited to submit papers written during your stay at CORE. Articles undergo an internal refereeing process under the responsibility of the Research Director. Papers are submitted via Francisco Santana Ferra. You are welcome to suggest the name of a referee. The refereeing process is mostly informal and hopefully consists in an open discussion between the author and the referee. Final decisions are made by the Research Director on recommendation of the referee. PDF FILES MUST INCLUDE ALL FONTS AND SHOULD NOT REQUIRE SUPPLEMENTAL FILES FOR THE FIGURES.

If you wish to be present on the Web with your discussion paper you have to follow the procedure described below.
Your paper must be prepared in the style of a CORE DP. This style requires a page containing the title, order number, abstract, keywords, classification, acknowledgements... A first command file for building this page for several text processors can be downloaded from here.

  1. for Mac users only: (, word, )
  2. for PC users only: (latex, , )
  3. for any user: PDF illustration of this file

The best way to start your DP is to use the command file. You have to start your paper on the second page. There are no rules for the rest of the paper. If you are using another text processor, you should mimic the CORE DP style.

i.   When your paper is ready, submit it for review with a suggested referee name via Francisco Santana Ferra.

ii.  After acceptation of your paper as a CORE DP, and only when the final version is ready, ask Sylvie Mauroy to give you the CORE DP number of the paper, and complete the title page (see instructions contained in the above command file)!!
Please do not forget to fill in the number of your discussion paper.

iii.  When your "final+DP number" version is ready, you should provide to Sylvie Mauroy an electronic version of it, by email (postcript or pdf), and original text file (including all related files: figures, macros...)

Before or even after you leave CORE, let us know whether your papers will be or have been submitted to a journal and which one. If accepted, remember to send the purchase order form for reprints so that your article can be included in our reprint series, our policy being to accept in this series all papers written by members or visitors during their stay at CORE.
