Research domains
I am interested in the impact of emotional competences in the interpersonal domain.
- I aim to assess if people who present difficulties in identifying their own emotions also present difficulties in identifying the emotions of others, as expressed by:
- their Eye Gazes
- their Facial Expressions
- I also aim to assess if those people also have:
- Difficulty in adopting the perspective of others.
- Difficulty to not be overwhelmed from the distress expressed by another person.
- Finally, I am interested in investigating how poor emotional competence are associated with deficits in social information processing (i.e., difficulty in processing social words), and how those deficits are related to interpersonal difficulties.
