Center for Operations Research and Econometrics

The Center for Operations Research and Econometrics (CORE) is a research center of the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL) founded in 1966 and located in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium). Today, it houses about 30 professors and 120 pre- and postdoctoral researchers.

On December 1, 2012, Jacques Thisse received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa from Université Jean Monet (Saint-Etienne), for his work in economic geography and urban economics.

A Francqui chair 2012 was awarded by ULg to Yurii Nesterov. He will give a set of lectures entitled "Complexity and Simplicity of Optimization Problems".
