Content
The dissertation support seminar aims to improve students' written and oral skills in the field of sexology research. The aim is to be able to produce a written text and an oral presentation in accordance with the standards of scientific communication.
At the end of this course, the student should be able to:
- Understand the rules and recommendations of the sexology dissertation
- Know how to search and select scientific literature
- Write a dissertation using APA standards
- Know how to structure the different parts of a dissertation (Table of contents, introduction, theoretical part, practical part, discussion, conclusion, bibliography)
- Know how to present your research orally
- Develop a critical view of research in sexology
Teaching methods
Pedagogical device in face-to-face and/or in Teams depending on the evolution of the pandemic
- Work as in a research laboratory: feedback from students and teacher
- PPT presentation of dissertation topics
- Writing/correction work in small groups
- Question and answer sessions on the Moodle forum
Evaluation methods
The assessment covers different learning activities that make the course interactive and practical for the students:
- Writing of 2 pages of the thesis (5/20)
- Oral presentation with PPT of the dissertation topic (10/20)
- Participation in the course (5/20)
- Presence to the course is obligatory
