Pharmaceutical technology unit

The aim of the research of the pharmaceutical technology unit is to develop new delivery systems of drugs, peptides, nucleic acids and antigens.

The following areas have been developed :

• Transdermal drug delivery by iontophoresis and electroporation
• Polymeric drug carriers
• Pulmonary delivery of peptides, proteins and vaccines
• Sustained-drug release systems based on biodegradable polymers for the treatment of bone infections and for the mucosal administration of vaccines against parasitic and infectious diseases.
