Department of geology and geography

"I wished to understand the world of phenomena and physical
forces in their complexity and mutual influence."
Alexander von Humboldt, Kosmos I, 1844

Geographic science aims at a better understanding of the Earth system, of the interactions between human activities and their natural environment, and of the spatial dynamics of human activities.

We offer a Bachelor and a Masters programme in geography as well as a Masters in climatology. We conduct advanced research on the changes occurring at the Earth’s surface and on their impact.
