Marketing - MARKThe current marketing Department (Mark) on the Louvain-la-Neuve site counts 16 members distributed between full-time and part-time faculty members, invited professors and scientific assistants/scholars.
The marketing Department (MARK) coordinates and ensures high quality teaching in the fields of strategic marketing, international marketing, market research, consumer behavior, branding, communication, e-marketing …while being based on the theoretical and conceptual executives proposed by various scientific disciplines (psychology, statistics, economy, econometrics, etc). The marketing department develops also close links in societal and environmental teaching and research. Its teaching mission has as framework the various programs managed by the Louvain School of Management (LSM). The department promotes close contacts between students and corporate via internships, master thesis and term papers. Interested companies can contact the department. The research in the field of marketing is located in a Center of Excellence: Center of Excellence on Consumers and Marketing Strategy (CCMS). By its activities of research, the center in particular focuses on both the demand and supply sides of marketing. Both perspectives are investigated into the light of ethics and responsibilities of any partner in a vast range of marketing transactions or activities. Since 2003, the Center Currently has published 10 doctoral dissertations and 15 PhD students are currently at work. Additionally the department has numerous publications. The department maintains strong and frequent links with practitioners and managers. It invites frequently guest speakers in its courses as well at the bachelor or master level in a diversified conference program.
