The course is structured into two complementary components:
An introduction to the main research methods in communication, through three modules devoted to semiotic and discursive approaches, qualitative methods (observation, ethnography, interviews), and quantitative and computational methods.
Guidance on writing the thesis, covering the formulation of the research question, the choice of methodology, data collection, and the analysis of the corpus or fieldwork.

Teaching methods
The lectures introduce the main approaches and research methods in communication. They are supplemented by ongoing guidance designed to support the development of the thesis project, from formulating the research question to defining the methodological framework and analyzing the data.
