This teaching unit aims to develop knowledge for teaching mathematics and to analyze research to stimulate pedagogical reflection, develop and take a critical look at various pedagogical approaches.
The course will address issues related to
- problem solving,
- breaks and continuities in the teaching-learning of particular mathematical content,
- assessment in mathematics,
- different grids for the analysis of mathematical lessons and tasks proposed to the students.
Teaching methods
The course alternates theoretical contributions and practical work. The course is largely based on interactions with students. Students will be encouraged to be actively involved. Attendance at the course is therefore essential. Readings and preparations will be offered to enrich and deepen the reflection and interactions between students and teachers.
Evaluation methods
Formative evaluations will be offered during the semester.
The summative evaluation will have two components:
- a written exam (75%), with open-ended questions with short answers and case analyses;
- group work (25%) to appropriate the concepts consisting of the preparation, justification and analysis of a lesson, in connection with the achievements of the course.
Online resources
The Moodle space contains the documents presented and used during the courses and allows the deposit of student productions. The Perusall platform is also used for readings.
