For students in 'Professional' focus : 
The main themes as a process
The aim of this learning activity is to make the internship experience a learning moment in the university curriculum and an opportunity to reflect on the role of the future professional.
Themes: Role and positioning of the trainee, teamwork, personal development, professional project, influence and interpersonal relations, ethical issues of practice.
For students in 'Research' focus :
This research internship provides students with the opportunity to engage in a supervised research project within an academic research center, a public research institution, or a private R&D unit. 
Working closely with experienced researchers, students contribute to the development of new knowledge in management sciences by applying scientific methods, conducting empirical or theoretical investigations, and producing academically rigorous outputs.
The internship allows students to experience the research process firsthand—from problem formulation to data collection, analysis, and the communication of results
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

This teaching unit contributes to the development and acquisition of the following skills:
    Acting as a socially responsible actor: developing intellectual independence, making ethical decisions
    Working in a team, understanding and positioning your personal role
    Developing oneself: managing one's work autonomously, knowing oneself better
At the end of this teaching unit, the student will be able to:
    Identify his/her specific motives, drives, values and aspirations.
    Get specific information about work contexts, professional sectors and organisational functions.
    Consider a first professional project.
    Start to build his/her professional network.
    Identify the gaps between the acquired competences in the internship and the expected competences of the LSM Competency framework
For students in 'Research' focus : 

The internship does not follow a classical course structure; instead, it includes the following key components:
1.    Research Problem Identification
o    Exploration of research themes within the host research group
o    Definition of the research scope and expected contributions
2.    Literature Review and Theoretical Framework
o    Identification of relevant scientific articles
o    Construction of conceptual models or theoretical grounding
3.    Research Design and Methodology
o    Selection of qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods
o    Study protocol design (sampling, instruments, procedures)
4.    Data Collection and Analysis
o    Fieldwork, experiments, interviews, or database extraction
o    Use of analytical tools (e.g., NVivo, R, Python, SPSS, STATA)
5.    Research Report and Communication
o    Drafting of a scientific report following academic standards
o    Possible submission to a research seminar, workshop, or conference
6.    Supervision and Interaction
o    Regular meetings with the academic or industry supervisor
o    Integration into the activities of the research team

The course aims to help students reflect on their internships and stimulate their interest in various occupations, roles, sectors, and professional contexts. Through assignments and classes, the course seeks to foster students' aspirations and interests regarding their future careers. It also focuses on personal resources such as work experience, internships, specific skills and competencies, and networking.
For students in 'Research' focus :

The evaluation of the course is based on:

    The completion of various assessments throughout the academic year (for more information on this component, please refer to the Moodle website).
For students in 'Research' focus : 

Assessment is based on:
1.    Research Report (60%)
A written research document demonstrating methodological rigor, theoretical grounding, data quality, analytical depth, and clarity of argumentation.
2.    Internship Performance Evaluation (40%)
Evaluation by the internship supervisor focusing on engagement, autonomy, critical thinking, teamwork, and contribution to the research project.
