Content
During this teaching unit, students explore the main technical-tactical fundamentals of four team sports: volleyball, basketball, handball, and indoor soccer. The course also develops the common and specific psycho-motor skills associated with these sports.
At the end of the unit, the student will be able to demonstrate mastery of the main technical-tactical fundamentals of the four sports and adopt effective and appropriate behaviors for each, both in reading and in playing the game.

Evaluation methods
☒ The course assessment is based on continuous and final evaluation, including disciplinary tests (for example, courses, game phases, played situations, etc.) to verify the achievement of learning outcomes.
☒ Weighting / possible weight: In case of unjustified absence, the final grade will be weighted proportionally to the percentage of attendance.
☒ Conditions for participation:
The evaluation of the teaching unit is continuous and relies on active participation in practical sessions, which are essential learning activities for developing the targeted skills.
Attendance to classes is mandatory. In case of unjustified absence from a session, the final grade is weighted proportionally to the attendance rate. Three tardies are equivalent to one unjustified absence. The student is considered late until attendance is recorded; afterward, they will be marked absent.
An absence may be considered validly justified if it is based on an acceptable reason verified by the jury president, such as a medical certificate, a death, or participation in a funeral. Any absence must be justified according to the applicable faculty procedure:

In the event of a valid justification for absence from an evaluation activity, a makeup session may be organized if the material, pedagogical, and human conditions permit.
An absence is considered unjustified if it is not covered by a valid justification or if the applicable faculty procedure has not been followed. Any unjustified absence from an evaluation activity results in a record of absence for that evaluation.
In accordance with Articles 72 and 73 of the RGEE, regular participation in learning activities is a prerequisite for access to evaluation. For this teaching unit, an effective presence at at least 60% of the practical sessions is required. When this threshold is not met, regardless of the reason, the instructor will propose to the restricted jury, or failing that, to the jury, to oppose the student's registration for the evaluation. The decision rests with the restricted jury, or failing that, with the jury. If the registration for the evaluation has already been submitted, this opposition cancels it.
☒ Specific success rule: A minimum score of 10/20 (after applying the attendance coefficient) for each sports discipline (i.e., volleyball, basketball, handball, and indoor football) is necessary to validate the final grade.
A score below 10/20 in any of these disciplines results in a failing grade for the entire UE.
When all sports disciplines have a score of 10/20 or higher, the final grade corresponds to the weighted average of these four sports disciplines.

Other information
The evaluation is continuous. Active attendance at classes is therefore mandatory. Any absence must be justified by a medical certificate. If the medical certificate allows it, the student must also be present at the courses.
In the event of unjustified absence from a course (excluding evaluation activity), the final score will be weighted in proportion to the percentage of attendance.
Punctuality: three delays equivalent to an unjustified absence.
Given the specificity of the bachelor's and master's degree and the professional recognition that obtaining the academic degree of the master's degree in Motor Sciences, physical education orientation automatically entails, we inform students enrolled in the bachelor's degree in Motor Sciences, that a presence of less than 60% in the EU LEPHY1105, even for justified medical reasons, will make the evaluation of the EU impossible with the consequence of the impossibility of acquiring the corresponding credits.
Any unjustified absence from an evaluation results in an absence mark from the exam. In case of valid justified absence https://www.uclouvain.be/fr/facultes/fsm/restricted/certificats-medicaux, a catch-up session could be organized if material and human conditions allow it.
