Content

Au cours de cette unité d'enseignement, les étudiants étudient le rôle de la gouvernance dans le sport et ses fondements théoriques. Le cours aborde le cadre réglementaire propre aux associations sans but lucratif, les différents modèles et structures de gouvernance, ainsi que le rôle, les fonctions et la performance du conseil d'administration. Il traite de la gouvernance collaborative, du leadership partagé, de la gestion des risques, du rôle du président et des principes de bonne gouvernance, avant d'aborder les défis futurs de la gouvernance du sport.
Au terme de l'unité, l'étudiant est capable de décrire le rôle de la gouvernance dans le sport et son importance pour la gestion des organisations sportives dans un contexte de professionnalisation, ainsi que d'en expliquer les fondements théoriques et leur influence sur les pratiques. Il sait expliquer le cadre réglementaire spécifique aux ASBL et ses implications, identifier les différents modèles et structures de gouvernance, et décrire le rôle, les fonctions et la performance du conseil d'administration. Il maîtrise les concepts de gouvernance collaborative et de leadership partagé, sait analyser les risques associés à la gestion des organisations sportives, et le rôle de la gouvernance pour les maîtriser, ainsi que connaître le rôle et les responsabilités du président. Enfin, il est capable d'identifier, d'expliquer et d'appliquer les principes de bonne gouvernance dans différentes organisations sportives.

Teaching methods

Lectures; internal and external interventions at UCLouvain; individual or group work, in class or at home; flipped classroom; case studies and role-playing. 

Evaluation methods

☒ The course assessment is an individual oral exam. Additional details about the conduct of the oral exam will be communicated on Moodle.
Weighting / possible weight: In case of unexcused absence, the final grade will be weighted proportionally to the percentage of attendance.
☒ Conditions of participation:
The evaluation of the teaching unit is continuous and based on active participation in the sessions, which are essential learning activities for developing the targeted skills.
Attendance at classes is mandatory. In case of unexcused absence from a session, the final grade is weighted proportionally to the attendance rate. Three tardies are equivalent to an unexcused absence. The student is considered late until attendance is taken; afterward, they will be marked absent.
An absence may be considered validly justified if it is based on an acceptable reason verified by the jury president, such as a medical certificate, a death, or participation in a funeral. Any absence must be justified according to the applicable departmental procedure:

In the event of a valid justification for an evaluation activity absence, a makeup session may be organized if the material, pedagogical, and human conditions permit.
An absence is considered unjustified if it is not covered by a valid justification or if the applicable departmental procedure has not been followed. Any unjustified absence from an evaluation activity results in a record of absence for the relevant assessment.
In accordance with Articles 72 and 73 of the RGEE, regular participation in learning activities is a prerequisite for access to the evaluation. For this teaching unit, at least 60% attendance at sessions is required. When this threshold is not met, regardless of the reason, the instructor will propose to the restricted jury, or failing that, to the jury, to oppose the student's registration for the evaluation. The decision rests with the restricted jury, or failing that, the jury. If the registration for the evaluation has already been submitted, this opposition cancels it.
