The course covers the main concepts and theoretical debates surrounding political representation, as well as an empirical study of the actors and mechanisms that perform the function of representation (elections, parties, voters, candidates, leaders).

The course is based on mandatory readings prepared in advance and discussed collectively. Each session combines a theoretical introduction by the instructor, a presentation by students applying the concepts to a specific case, and a guided discussion.
