Luc de Brabandere, Alumni Ir Civ Matap 1971, est aussi licencié en Philosophie à l'UCLouvain. Fellow du Boston Consulting Group, il a co-fondé Cartoonbase, une agence de communication où les artistes et les
consultants travaillent ensemble. Luc est aussi (et surtout?) philosophe d'entreprise et nous fait l'immense plaisir d'introduire la philosophie à l'AILouvain!

En pratique

	A l’aube du déconfinement, comment la vie va-t-elle changer ? Michel DUPUIS Michel DUPUIS est philosophe émérite à l’Institut supérieur de philosophie de l’UCLouvain. Spécialiste en éthique biomédicale, il est aussi président émérite du comité de bioéthique et vice-président de la commission fédérale droits du patient. . Il est l’auteur des ouvrages suivants : « Le soin, une philosophie » et «L’éthique organisationnelle dans le secteur de la santé», «La banalisation du soin dans le système de soins» et «Les formations aux métiers de la santé, quels enjeux éthiques ?» et «Prier 15 jours avec Edith Stein». BMI Institute with BMI Alumni Association together with its founding partner schools HEC Paris (France) and Louvain School of Management (Belgium) is happy to announce the 2nd International Alumni event. While overall the numbers remain low, gender equality is increasing. 41 of the companies on the Fortune 500 list currently have female CEOs compared to only 33 in 2019 and 24 in 2018. Furthermore, in the public sector, 2020 has proven to be a strong year with more women elected to high office around the world.

However, the pandemic has intensified some of the challenges women face in the workplace. One in three mothers have considered leaving the workforce or downshifting their careers for reasons relating to the current circumstances (McKinsey report 2020).

Will the pandemic reverse the positive trends we have seen over the past years? How can we overcome the challenges female leaders are facing? What are the opportunities that could help women climb the ladder or re-enter the labour market after career breaks?

Dos and Don’ts d’une transformation « durable » de nos organisations

Les « Rencontres de la Durabilité », sont un moment de partages et d’échanges entre Alumni, sur comment chacun de nous pouvons (devons ?) transformer en profondeur à la fois nos mentalités en tant que humains dans la Société, ainsi que nos organisations pour leur permettre de s’adapter et de survivre dans ce monde en changement perpétuel.

Lors de ces rencontres, nous aborderons la question du cadre Environnemental, Social et de Gouvernance, la remise en question de nos modes de fonctionnement, la gestion des changements à venir dans nos différents secteurs d’activités en lien avec les multi-crises que nous traversons.

Nous invitons plusieurs orateurs à présenter leur compréhension des changements en cours, leurs expériences et parcours de transformation, ainsi que leurs questionnements sur les prochaines étapes à suivre, le tout orchestré par notre modérateur du jour.

Nous invitons les participants à échanger entre eux sur les questionnements partagés, et de pouvoir contribuer au débat. Les participants pourront partager leurs ressentis, leurs questions, leurs idées avec les orateurs.

Sur base de ces échanges, les orateurs et les participants sont invités à résumer leurs ‘devoirs’, et expliciter les étapes de transformation plus profonde qu’ils/elles souhaitent aborder au sein de leurs organisations.

Nous nous lançons dans une analyse par secteur d'activité, où chacun de nos Alumni pourront partager présenter des études de cas spécifiques.

Notre première rencontre abordera le secteur des "Biens de consommation et d’alimentation".

Nous avons le plaisir de co-organiser cette première rencontre avec les Alumni de la Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, et de la Louvain School of Management – histoire de partager nos réseaux, enrichir nos discussions et rencontres, établir des nouvelles relations.

Join us for a piano recital featuring Olivier De Spiegeleir, an UCLouvain alumnus (Water and Forest Engineering, 1982) and internationally renowned pianist. This event is organized by AgroLouvain-Alumni and will take place at 7:00 PM at the Chapelle des Sœurs Noires in Mons.

Autumn, a season of sweet dreams and setting suns, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant colors, is a time for tranquil happiness and creative melancholy!

In this spirit, Olivier will perform several pieces by Beethoven, Debussy, Sibelius, and Tchaikovsky. He will also provide detailed presentations and commentary, including excerpts, descriptions, and analyses, along with poetic passages from Apollinaire, Hugo, Pessoa, Verhaeren, and Verlaine.

The Alumni Association and BDO are pleased to invite you to our career event on September 19 in Louvain-la-Neuve. Our guest speaker, Cédric Dumont, a pioneer in sustainable performance, energy management, and flow, as well as a high-level athlete with Red Bull in base jumping, will give a talk on risk management.

The conference will be followed by a friendly networking cocktail, bringing together all participants and specialists from various industries, who will be available to answer any career-related questions or doubts you may have.

This annual musical gathering has been held for several years. Olivier De Spiegeleir, an alumnus of UCLouvain (Water and Forest Engineering, 1982) and internationally renowned pianist, shares his passion for piano with alumni. By dissecting various piano pieces according to a theme and enriching them with anecdotes related to the musical passages and/or their composers, he helps to (better) discover, perceive, and appreciate them.

This year, lovers of notes and numbers, Olivier De Spiegeleir invites you in November on a fabulous journey with companions such as Bach, Beethoven, Haydn, Bartok, Debussy, etc., during which the parallel destinies of music and mathematics will be narrated. Consonances and dissonances, harmonies and rhythms, the golden ratio, and divine proportions illustrate this recital reconciling two noble disciplines that have built our society.
