Knowledge generation: ideas, tools, and methodologies
Vincent Lorant’s research examines the relationship between society and health. His work has demonstrated how social stratification and social integration shape mental health outcomes, exploring contextual and dynamic dimensions as well as the role of mental health services. He has studied stratification not only in terms of education and social class, but also ethnicity and migration status. In recent years, he has drawn on social network analysis to study health inequalities from a relational perspective, examining the values, resources, behaviors, and actions that link individuals and organizations. He has contributed to the diffusion of social network methodologies, both socio-centric and ego-centric approaches.
