Emeritus professors from UCLouvain have come together with the aim of supporting Master’s students who are struggling, particularly those who have not completed their dissertation by the date normally scheduled in the curriculum.
As volunteers, these experienced individuals, referred to below as mentors, offer their time to listen, provide comfort and, where possible, offer guidance to these students.
Students receiving mentoring may, if they deem it necessary, discontinue the mentoring programme and, if required, seek assistance from another mentor.
Thesis supervisors from the participating faculties are informed of this mentoring scheme. However, they are not provided with the list of students receiving mentoring.
Where the number of applications from prospective students exceeds the number of Louvain+ mentors available, the list of students who will receive support will be based on the order in which applications are received.
Who is it for?
Students who passed all their Master’s exams in year N-1 and who only have their dissertation left to submit in year N
