Since 1996, the "Calcul Intensif" (CI) and the "Stockage de Masse" (SM) were two separate specific services, managed by two different Boards, the "Comité de Calcul Intensif" (CCI) and the "Comité de Gestion du Stockage de Masse" (CGSM).
The CISM institue was created in 2004 by merging the two Boards. The founding document
