Detailed programme

Parallel to the practical training, the specialist candidate will follow a university training programme organised as follows :

part - Foundation studies
Three years of training, consisting of :
• Theoretical courses : In-depth questions on internal pediatric medecine, In-depth questions on emergency medecine and intensive pediatric care, Complements of social pediatrics and prevention in schools, Complements of psychopathology in children
• Seminars : Seminar on pediatrics, Seminar on intensive care and neonatology
• A period of supervised hospital training : Polyclinic pediatrics, polyclinic neonatology, Polyclinic intensive care
The theoretical sessions of the first two years form part of the specific university training programme (FUS, in French).

part - Higher studies
Two years of training, consisting of :
• Theoretical courses : In-depth questions on nutrition and growth, complements of pediatric cardiology and pneumology, complements of pedriatic neurology and metabolic diseases, compéements of haematology, oncology and immunology.
• Seminars: Seminar on pediatric cardiology, Seminar on pediatric hematology and oncology.
• A period of supervised hospital training: Pediatric cardiology and polyclinic Pneumology, polyclinic pediatrics, polyclinic endocrinology, pediatric hematology and polyclinic oncology, polyclinic pediatric gastro-enterology.
