Biography | Présentation
ERIC MANGEZ is Professor of Sociology at UCLouvain, Belgium. His research examines educational change and policy transformation, with particular attention to globalization/Europeanization, digitalization, and alternative forms of education such as homeschooling. He developed a specific interest in social theory, in particular Bourdieu's field theory and Luhmann's systems theory. He is the former lead editor of the European Educational Research Journal and current lead editor of Recherches Sociologiques et Anthropologiques.
ERIC MANGEZ est professeur de sociologie à l'UCLouvain, Belgique. Ses recherches portent sur les transformations de l'éducation et des politiques éducatives, avec une attention particulière à la mondialisation/européanisation de l'éducation, à sa numérisation et aux formes d'éducation alternatives telles que l'instruction à domicile. Il a développé un intérêt spécifique pour la théorie sociale, en particulier la théorie des champs de Bourdieu et la théorie des systèmes de Luhmann. Il est l'ancien rédacteur en chef de l'European Educational Research Journal et actuel rédacteur en chef de Recherches Sociologiques et Anthropologiques, avec Bernard Fusulier.
