What if the big bang was hotter than expected ?
Researchers from UCLouvain, in collaboration with Caltech (United States) and the Max Planck Institute for Physics (Germany), have just proposed a new way to tell the story of the universe’s beginnings. Their model challenges the idea of a cold and empty Big Bang: according to them, the universe was “hot” from its very first fractions of a second thanks to a particle called the axion.
