I have been active in Materials and Surface Sciences as well as Ion Beam Analysis for more than 25 years. My core research activities encompass the theoretical and experimental study of energetic cluster-surface interactions, with an emphasis on soft molecular emission, of plasma- and laser-surface interactions, as well as the 2D/3D molecular characterization of thin layers (SIMS, XPS). Current progress of my team is geared towards (nano)fabrication of novel materials and thin films, from mixed metal oxide nanoparticles to plasma polymerization and ion-assisted deposition of molecular coatings.
