Karel Pletinck is a postdoctoral researcher whose work explores the intersections of history, philosophy, and the arts, with a particular focus on post-war Europe. His first monograph, Revelationist Aesthetics in Contemporary Cinema: An Intellectual History (1950s–2000s), was published by Amsterdam University Press in 2025. His work has appeared in journals including French Forum, Journal of Aesthetics and Culture, French Screen Studies, French Studies, and Literature & History.
