His PhD thesis focuses on tropical zoonoses in Brazil: spotted fever, visceral and cutaneous leishmaniasis, and hantaviruses. It aims to study the effects of land-use changes on the incidence of these zoonoses, as well as to propose landscape management strategies to reduce spillover risk.
