The living world is full of unsolved mysteries. As researchers, our aim is to solve some of these and push the frontiers of knowledge.
To explain life, we need to understand what happens at the molecular level, whatever the organism (animal, plant or microorganism) and whatever the size (from the molecule to the organism).
In this aspect, the research projects pursued at LIBST focus on the fields of biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, microbiology, genetics, and physiology.
