UCLouvain is an active member of the EURAXESS European network. This European Commission initiative brings together some 40 member states and associated countries with the aim of promoting and facilitating the mobility of researchers and the development of their careers.

For the university, being part of the EURAXESS network is a major advantage when it comes to recruiting international talent.

On 20 January 2020, our European Commission HR Excellence in Research label, which recognises the excellence of working conditions and procedures for welcoming, recruiting and supporting the careers of researchers at UCLouvain, was renewed..

UCLouvain EURAXESS contact persons

The implementation of the principles of the Euraxess initiative at UCLouvain is based on close collaboration between the Research Administration (ADRE) and the Human Resources Administration (ARH).

ADRE – Research Administration

Logistical and administrative support for research missions, as well as guidance on international mobility and European and international funding opportunities.

ARH – Human Resources Administration

Management of HR policies related to the European Charter for Researchers, the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, and the maintenance of the “HR Excellence in Research” award.

Euraxess Coordination

Cross-functional coordination of the Euraxess action plan, monitoring of governance bodies, and coordination between services.
