Courses given in languages other than French
In the vast majority of programmes taught (mainly) in French, some courses are taught in English, or are "English Friendly", meaning that the teacher offers additional support to non-French-speaking students, such as extra classes in English or the option of sitting the exam in a language other than French. Many courses are also taught in other languages.
You can use the search engine in the Study Programme to find these courses (via the tab "Rechercher une unité d'enseignement").
Please note that :
- The language of instruction of a course is specified on its course description, and published in the detailed programme of each programme that offers it.
- Non-French-speaking students can benefit from specific preparation in French at UCLouvain.
- It is also possible for students to complete their language training through a degree or non-degree mobility programme.
