Advanced Master in International & Development Economics (UNamur)

The Economic Departments at the University of Namur (UNamur) and at UCLouvain organize jointly a one-year post graduate program in International and Development Economics.
Program graduates will obtain an Advanced Master’s Degree in International and Development Economics.
The master program has successfully been in existence for more than 15 years. The teaching staff includes professors with a well established international reputation and an extensive field experience in developing countries.
The objective of the program is to train students in international and development economics and help them to become qualified actors in the field of economic development in the context of an integrated world economy.
The courses taught are structured around two main themes:
- Macroeconomics and International Trade: policies for stabilising macro-economic aggregates such as inflation, debt and the balance of payments; structural adjustment policies aimed at achieving high and sustained growth in the developing countries; commercial and regional integration policies, etc.;
- Development and Institutions: agrarian contracts and contracts in the informal service sector, property law, microfinance, education, the link between poverty and the environment, financial globalisation and macroeconomic policies, etc.;
The language of instruction is English and the program is fully managed by UNamur.
