Nicolas Schtickzelle is a professor in ELI, specializing in quantitative ecology and conservation biology. His work focuses on population dynamics in the face of global environmental change, with a particular focus on butterflies and protists as biological models. He combines field approaches, laboratory experiments, and modeling to better understand the mechanisms of species viability and anticipate their future. Author of more than 80 scientific publications, he is also involved in the development of new methods in ecology and the training of young researchers.
