We are excited to announce a new publication from the Institute of Neuroscience. The article entitled “Autopsy-proven patient with corticobasal degeneration presenting with visuo-constructive disorders as initial symptoms: How advanced MRI sequences can help clinical practice” and published in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease was led by researchers from our clinical division, Yasmine Salman, Lara Huyghe, Bernard Hanseeuw.
In this paper, they described an atypical case of autopsy-proven corticobasal degeneration showing early signs of posterior cortical atrophy. They highlighted the additive value of fine-grained MRI subcortical quantification to diagnose non-AD rare neurodegenerative disorders
