Nathalie Delzenne (MNUT) recognised by the scientific community and Wallonia

The prize in Fundamental Biomedical Sciences (Joseph Maisin Prize) was awarded to Nathalie Delzenne, Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences and researcher at the Louvain Drug Research Institute (LDRI) at UCLouvain. Nathalie Delzenne is being honoured ‘for her pioneering research on the intestinal microbiome with significant implications for public health’. She is ‘internationally recognised as a specialist in this rapidly growing field of research’.
The FNRS Five-Year Awards, presented every five years, are intended to confirm international recognition and crown the careers of researchers from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation in all scientific disciplines.
The FNRS Five-Year Prize award ceremony will take place on 24 November at Bozar.
Nathalie Delzenne was also honoured at the Walloon Merit Awards ceremony on 21 September at the Elysette in Namur, where she was awarded the title of Knight.
