Holder of a PhD in Psychological Sciences from UCLouvain (2000) and a postdoctoral degree from the University of Cambridge, Isabelle Roskam is a professor at UCLouvain, where she leads a research team and teaches developmental psychology and the psychology of parenting. She also worked for ten years as a clinician at the Saint-Luc University Clinics, within the neuropediatrics unit.

An internationally recognized specialist in externalizing behaviors in children, she redirected her research a few years ago toward the study of parental burnout. Today, alongside Professor Moïra Mikolajczak, she is a leading figure in this field. Together, they co-direct the Parental Burnout Research Lab and the Training Institute for Psychology & Health, which offer training programs for professionals.

As a lecturer, researcher, speaker, and trainer, Isabelle Roskam is the author or co-author of numerous scientific articles and several reference books, including Le burnout parental: l'éviter et s'en sortir (Odile Jacob), Le burnout parental: comprendre, diagnostiquer et prendre en charge (De Boeck), Les émotions de l'enfant (Duval), La prise en charge des troubles du comportement chez l'enfant (Mardaga) et Mon enfant est insupportable, comprendre les enfants difficiles (Mardaga).

It was therefore only natural that she assumed academic supervision of the Specialized Psychological Consultations platform, succeeding Professor Pierre Philippot.
