« Les visages de la recherche » is a programme broadcast on LN24 in partnership with the Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique (FNRS). Through a series of reports, this series highlights researchers from UCLouvain and other institutions who, thanks to their passion and expertise, are pushing the boundaries of knowledge.
The programme has two objectives: to make science accessible to the general public and to promote innovative projects carried out by researchers supported by the FNRS. By exploring a variety of topics such as health, the environment and cutting-edge technologies, ‘Les visages de la recherche’ illustrates the concrete impact of scientific discoveries on our daily lives.
In recent episodes, viewers have been able to discover the work of Ludovic Troian-Gautier.
Capturing and converting solar energy – ‘The aim of our research is to store the sun's energy in the smallest possible volume, i.e. a chemical bond. If we can control the sun's photochemical reaction, we could synthesise components such as dihydrogen, which is an energy carrier increasingly used in the ecological transition.’
