Chaire Candriam - Former les Leaders de Demain pour un Impact Durable : Réinventer l'Éducation à et pour la Durabilité à la LSM
lourim | Louvain-la-Neuve, Mons
Management and organization professors are increasingly asked to integrate complex, uncertain, and contested topics in their teaching - such as climate change, post-growth thinking, ethical dilemmas, polarization, and student eco-anxiety. This research project, funded by Candriam and led by Valérie Swaen, invites reflections around how to involve teachers in a dynamic where they are continuously trained to embed ethics, responsibility and sustainability in their teaching. By proposing a "teach-the-teacher" approach, this project outlines how educators may learn together how to navigate complexity and interdisciplinarity, and tackle the contested nature of sustainability in the classroom. By combining research on communities of practice and sustainability education, the project will lead to creating, supervising, and evaluating the set-up of a teach-the-teacher program and community around sustainability, involving professors in management and organizations.
