Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) have become an important learning medium for university students and learners all over the world. These platforms, however, drastically restrain learner-learner and learner-teacher interactions (e.g., López Meneses et al., 2019).
Members of the CLARIN Knowledge Centre for Learner Corpora offer training services on a regular basis. CECL members have been organizing several editions of the Learner Corpus Research Summer School. The CENTAL team organizes a Summer School on Text Mining with Python every two years or so.

Project title : Communicative constitution of controvrsial debates
This subproject explores the communicative constitution of MOOCs and polemic exchanges on MOOC forums. It seeks to understand how and why polemic interactions do or do not unfold online on the global educational dispositive edX.
