Are you a UCLouvain teacher and want to give your educational projects a European dimension? The Circle U. alliance offers you a wide range of opportunities: funding to jointly develop modules, mobility programmes, courses, involvement in interuniversity projects, and access to a vast European network committed to tackling major societal challenges.


Below, learn about the schemes that can support your initiatives. 

Would you like to develop a European educational project with colleagues from other Circle U. universities? Several funding schemes are available:

 

  • Circle U. Seed Funding
    Up to €10,000 to support educational or research projects involving at least three partner universities. The call for proposals is generally open from May to October. More information.

     

  • Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)
    Up to €5,000 to design collaborative online modules with other Circle U. teachers. The call for applications usually takes place twice a year, in February and May. More information

     

  • Blended Intensive Programme (BIP)
    Erasmus+ funding to organise or participate in hybrid programmes (online and on site). The call for applications for the following academic year usually closes in February. Application form.

     

  • Teach at a partner university (Erasmus+)
    Erasmus+ funds your educational missions throughout the year. More information.

 

  • Become an academic chair 
    Funding for 30 paid academic staff (APH) hours and organisational support for teachers who commit to Circle U. hubs and platforms. The call for applications is generally open from April to May, depending on the positions available

  • Erasmus+ mobility
    The majority of academic mobility programmes are funded under the Erasmus+ programme.

  • High educational impact mobility 
    Do you have a mobility project linked to a structural or strategic change in education at UCLouvain? Is it ineligible for funding through Erasmus+? We are open to discussion and to identifying appropriate means of support. Please contact infocircleu@uclouvain.be to discuss your project.

Circle U. offers numerous opportunities to get involved, develop your projects, and enhance your research practices:

  • Jointly develop a module, participate in an interuniversity project, and access a dynamic, interdisciplinary European network focused on major societal challenges.
  • Network with a Knowledge Hub or Circle U. platform (Teaching Innovation Lab, InCU.bator, etc.).
  • Undertake educational innovation training.
  • Attend events, seminars, or teacher match-making sessions.
