International

The Faculty of Law and Criminology plays an active role in promoting its international profile through a number of events and initiatives:

Incoming students

hosting international students as part of the Erasmus+, Erasmus Belgica and Mercator exchange programmes.
With over 80 partnerships in place, the Faculty welcomes more than a hundred international students each year, whether as part of exchange programmes or as regular students. Each of our degree programmes offers a range of courses taught in English, and we are increasing this number every year. The International Relations Office is entirely at the disposal of these ‘incoming’ students and is responsible for providing them with the best possible support. We regularly establish new partnerships around the world to enhance our institution’s appeal.

Outgoing students

sending our own students on exchange programmes under the Erasmus+, Erasmus Belgica and Mercator schemes.
Each year, the Faculty selects nearly 200 student ambassadors to send to all corners of the globe. Their choices are very varied and differ significantly from one academic year to the next. These experiences abroad are highly beneficial to them and, despite the distance, we continue to provide them with excellent support; we ensure that this change of scenery is a genuine opportunity for personal and academic growth and enrichment.
 

International Students

Enrolled as full-time students for a full academic year, these young people are studying on several of our programmes: the Bachelor’s, the Master’s, specialised Master’s programmes, and the PhD in Legal Sciences.

Internationalisation

Contributions from distinguished guests and foreign lecturers as part of our courses

Louvain Global College of Law

Launched in 2016, this initiative comprises a wide and varied range of guest lectures that promote interdisciplinarity and institutional links.
