We are pleased to invite you to a special workshop in honour of the emeritus of Professor Peter Van Roy, to be held on 29 May 2026 in Louvain-la-Neuve.
This event aims to bring together former students, collaborators, colleagues, and friends who have been part of Peter’s academic journey.
More than a traditional scientific workshop, this day is designed as a moment of connection, reflection, and shared experiences. It will offer a unique opportunity to revisit collaborations, highlight impactful research, and celebrate the diverse paths shaped by Peter’s influence.

About Professor Van Roy

Professor Peter Van Roy has been a leading figure in com. puter science, particularly in the areas of programming languages, distributed systems, and software engineering.
Throughout his career at UCLouvain, he has supervised numerous students, led impactful research projects, and built strong international collaborations. His work has influenced both academia and industry, and his mentorship has shaped the careers of many researchers and professionals worldwide.
This event is an opportunity to celebrate his contributions and the community that has grown around him.
